This panic was created by an accident at a chemical plant. A drum of highly toxic powder was dropped and the lid popped off which caused the toxic powder to spread like flour being tossed in the air. There are two fatalities reported the rest of the victims are being treated; all hosptials are cleared of quarantine.

Michael Moore: Hurricane Coming During GOP Convention 'Proof There Is a God in Heaven'

Controversial filmmaker admits he's delighted to see a natural disaster potentially interfere with the Republican event.

Sometime you really have wonder at what cost some are willing to see their political ideology advanced.

To liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, the bounds are seemingly endless. Moore has made a recent career out of attacking President George W. Bush, bashing conservatives and criticizing business. His latest outrage occurred on MSNBC’s August 29 “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and when he commented about the coincidental timing of an unfortunate disaster – the potential for Hurricane Gustav to make landfall at the beginning of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn.

“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.”

After that comment, Moore backed off a bit and did say he hoped nobody got hurt and he hoped everybody is taking cover. However, he failed to make note of the $43.625 billion in damage the last hurricane to strike New Orleans caused – Hurricane Katrina in 2005 – and the billions of dollars the storm cost taxpayers.

Oh don't worry.... these evil and horrible comments will not come back to haunt him. It will not cost him a dime and he will continue to be embraced by those residing inside the sewer pipe we call Hollywood.

Look for him again regularly all next week on CNN.

Michael Stipe has told Sky News that he may leave America if John McCain wins the US election.

The REM frontman is an outspoken supporter of Barack Obama and said the Democrat's election would give his country the chance to move on from the aftermath of 9/11.
The 48-year-old revealed he had stayed up overnight because he wanted to experience Senator Obama's nomination acceptance speech live and said he hoped America would be ready to elect its first black president on polling day.

I am glad this time everyone is getting galvanized to take the necessary precautions....primarily, the City of New Orleans Leadership, the City of New Orleans City Gov't, and the resources of the State of Louisiana..... they did little to nothing last time (closer to nothing actually).

I know what you are saying, I know... "Shouldn't that be the job of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney? Why aren't they there in New Orleans?" Well, you see my children, that is not the job of the Federal Gov't... to get you packed and evacuated. I know, I know.... you are pretty sure that it is....why? Because Ray Nagin, Kanye West, Jesse Jackass and other bigotted individuals told the same lie over & over, the liberal scum media repeated the same lie over & over and now it is believed to be the truth.... but it really isn't.

IT IS NOT THE JOB OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO CHANGE YOUR DIAPER, TO CUT YOUR FOOD, AND TO TAKE YOU BY THE HAND AND LEAD YOU AWAY FROM THE BIG BAD HURRICANE.

Hurricanes come all the time, but because it may hit New Orleans, it is essential we drop EVERYTHING we are doing, and the eyes of the nation need to be turned to New Orleans. They did such a terrible job last time & Mayor Nagin will never be able to understand or comprehend all the blood on his hands, now, it has BECOME the job of the Feds now to step in and essentially "change their diapers, cut their food & take them in hand."

And now it is linked to the Republican Convention. Why?

If a Hurricane was hitting North Carolina this weekend, if an earthquake struck California or another bridge collapsed somewhere along the Miss. River.... of course the eyes of the nation would be on that area, as well as our thoughts with the people in the affected areas...I am not saying it shouldn't. If an Earthquake did hit the Bay Area on Monday, the GOP Convention would be affected to some degree...... but there wouldn't be any talk of postponing it or McCain not giving his speech.... just as if some Natural Disaster had occurred this week. I am quite confident Obama would be concerned, but there wouldn't be any talk of cancelling his SERMON ON THE MOUNT last night.

So why is there now?

Because it is New Orleans, and all the nonsense that goes along with it. We were treated to all kinds of footage and "where are they now" clips on NBC tonight for the 3rd anniversary. The Fact that the GOP convention is next week & McCain made his homerun pick today probably helped in their programming decision to rehash Katrina.

Even Fox News is to blame! Fox News repeatedly talked about "GUSTAV is coming!" and showed us 2005 footage of houses underwater & people that Ray Nagin left behind wading in water. Why, Fox News? Was that necessary? Can we expect to see Katrina footage EVERYTIME prior to a hurricane hitting the US somewhere? Got any 9-11 footage laying around, too?

It makes one wonder how in the hell would they depict the VP had McCain chose a Black to be his running mate? Some "Mr. Bojangles" type butler or a Train Porter on McCain's straight talk express? I was all set to talk about the sheeple that was crying before the speech even started, and how THAT is mass hysteria, like Beatlemania…… and I was going to pick apart the “greatest speech ever delivered” according to one NBC analyst (pronounced anal-cyst), and talk about how it was a great speech, but he said nothing, nor once said anything about HOW he was going to do what he proposed…… and I was going to talk about how who wouldn’t want the vague general things he talked about, and pick apart the nonsense he espoused like “McCain votes with Bush 90% of the time” and how stupid that sounds and also how inaccurate that is.

And I was going to write about how irreprehensible it was that members of the press were clapping and cheering at different times during the speech, and how something like that would have gotten one fired just a few years back. And how the EXACT same presentation carried out by the GOP and covered the same exact way by FOX NEWS would have been denounced as racist and demands for firings would be volleyed over the bow right now as we speak.

But I am not going to.

I am in an awesome mood today. I have never been a big John McCain fan at all, didn’t support him in 2000 or the primaries, but I have to tell you….he hit it out of the park today! (emphasis added).

And it will continue like that over a long weekend, then on to the Republican Convention. So there will be a period of almost a solid week where nothing but Republicans and Republican issues are talked about.

In the first 5 minutes of his speech (which I had to listen to because you people deserve to read my opinion! :) ), I heard him say the following:

"It is that promise that has always set this country apart – that through hard work and sacrifice, each of us can pursue our individual dreams but still come together as one American family, to ensure that the next generation can pursue their dreams as well."

And he also says:

"...the fundamental belief that I am my brother's keeper; I am my sister's keeper."

Well riddle me this, Sen. Obama - how can we be responsible for ourselves if the Federal government keeps getting in the way?

I'm sorry - I am not my brother's keeper. Nor am I my sister's keeper (Sorry, B!). I am my own keeper. Charity begins at home. I am fundamentally at odds with the idea that the Federal government has to oversee everything in our lives to make sure we don't hurt ourselves. When Joe Biden's dad told him to get up when he got knocked down, that's what the Federal government should be saying to Americans when they fail at something. "Shake yourself off and get back up - you don't need help."

That is the Libertarian way.

The Democrat (and increasingly, the Republican) way is for "Dad" to pick the person up off the ground, knock the dust off their clothes, buy them a Coke, rub their shoulders, wipe their tears, go buy them a book (that the Feds wrote) called "How Not to Fall (and who to sue if you do)", put a $20 spot in their pocket, slap 'em on the rear end, and tell them that it's not their fault that they fell - and next time, "Dad" will be sure to put a pillow under their ass so they don't get hurt the next time.

It is a little after 9PM Est, Obama has yet to deliver his speech of the century, but I am going to predict, he will get a 15 point bump from this speech & convention.

Now let's do a little history first.....it is not that uncommon for a candidate to get a little bump after a convention; Al Gore got a 17 point bump in 2000, but it eroded quickly in about 2 weeks... and even Walter Mondale got within 9 points (!) of Reagan after his convention in 1984. So it seems inevitable Hussein Obama will get one.....

But to borrow a line from THE WOLF in PULP FICTION:

"Hold on, before we start sucking each other's #&@! here......."

Well you see, Barrack Obozo hasn't received ANY bump yet..... until today. His addition of Joe Biden didn't get him anything (and that is really strange). Monday & Tuesday saw his lead erode to a dead heat... even some polls having McCain ahead by one point. Now some polls I have seen today have Obama up by a point... that Bill Clinton, "The Peacemaker", may have just put the icing on this for Hussein Obama to have a good convention. So he is up by a point... the only bump (surprisingly) to have come.

Well tomorrow AM, the numbers will start being reported... and by Friday night, we will hear about this record INCREDIBLE bump Barrack got, that I am going to predict will be 15 points. No, he will not actually get it.... No, there isn't an extra 15% of voters on his side that wasn't there as I type this...... it is just more of the manipulated media that want the story, and will make the story they want! It doesn't have to be true anymore, perhaps..... but they will do a poll of people leaving Invesco Field after they play records tonight, and the numbers wil be there!!!! A 15 point bump!!!

Again, it won't be there, you may actually see quite a bit of discrepency between some polls.... Reuters, Rasmussen & Gallup may give him 5 points, where CNN, The NY Times and AP will give him 15. Again, it doesn't have to be so. Remember last Sunday? There were 2 used copies of Joe Biden's book for sale on Amazon.com. Both got bought up that afternoon of the VP announcement and AP reports that it is a best seller!!!

OBAMA's Thursday Night Acceptance Speech

I thought it was OK.... he delivers a real good speech, in fact, that is THE ONLY DAMN THING anyone can tell you about him. When people are asked "what has he done?" or 'what does he stand for?" all they can say is:

He's a good orator
He is a man of integrity

I was afraid he wasn't going to mention that today, August 28, is the 45th anniversary of the MLK "I have a dream" speech, but he did! He didn't let me down.

I thought the stage was no big deal. From when I first saw it, I thought it looked like the West Wing Entrance to the White House and not some Greek Temple. It shows you how indeed stupid & foolish those in the media are.... they see columns and think Roman or Greek architecture, when it is so apparent from the windows, it looks like the White House.

What I thought was most telling was the symbolism of the stage.... it was a grand facade, with nothing behind it.... just like Hussein Obama's campaign & his candidacy!

I agreed with most of his speech, that America is great.... that America can be better...... that Washington is letting us down. But then again, I do not feel Washington needs to change people's diapers and cut their food for them. I realize most of the people in that crowd, most of his supporters and most of the City of New Orleans does indeed feel that way...that the Gov't SHOULD be doing those things but I don't. The Democratic Party is now the "Party of Victims". Bill Clinton high lighted that and celebrated it last night in his speech, but more on that later.

I support alot of the same things Obama does, from the things he talked about.

I, too, support education.

I, too, am for American Jobs.

I am for a strong US economy as well!

I don't like high oil prices and I wish we could ween ourselves from Arab Oil.

Gee! You think I'd be voting for him, right? It is just that Barrack O'Bozo didn't mention in any way about HOW he wants to do that stuff or HOW he wants to get there.

I am going to go out on a limb and say it probably entails lots of redistribution of wealth and other socialist tactics that Leon Trotsky would LOVE! But I don't know that..... Hussein Obama didn't say... he just said he was for jobs, for education, for children, etc.

I thought the crowd was disturbing.... it reminded me of footage from 3rd Reich rallies I had seen... which is fitting. Most of the folks in that crowd would embrace full throttle facism. They want free speech to be silenced, they would gladly surrender their sovereignty for safety, even if means getting rid of that Bill of Rights thing, they think if we could have just talked to Bin laden & the 19 hijackers, they would be our friend, and a whole other littany of crap that could only be reasoned & deduced from a mind devoid of proper education and diseased by years of drug abuse. I kept waiting to see if Hussein Obama would lead them off a cliff that they would cheerfully leap off of, but I guess they ran out of time and Nancy Pelosi told them that if they were all good little robots, they could play records after the speech

Everybody gets up and it is time to boogie! It looks like a bunch of 3rd graders who are told that "If you behave and not act up, then we can play records during breaktime, ok?"

And man, the dancing and acting like a 3rd grader carries on with wreckless abandon!

It is actually quite disturbing..... but most of the folks in that crowd are disturbed anyway. They aren't too fond of freedom, they prefer security over liberty and when Bill Clinton & Joe Biden re-write history, lie and don't tell the whole truth... they leap at the chance to chant their little rhyme that has been prepared for them..... whether it was 'THAT'S NOT CHANGE!", 'WHERE WAS GEORGE" or "IF THE GLOVE DON'T FIT, YOU MUST ACQUIT!"

Report: Bruce Springsteen won't perform at DNC

Colorado's Rocky Mountain News, which reported earlier this week that Bruce Springsteen [ tickets ] would perform at Barack Obama's Thursday (8/28) acceptance speech at Denver's Invesco Field, is backing off those reports.

"Although highly placed city and DNC-linked sources told the [newspaper] that the appearance was set, in-the-know sources high in the Springsteen camp said unequivocally Monday (8/25) that the singer is not scheduled to perform or attend the acceptance speech," the Rocky Mountain News reported.

Organizers reportedly approached Springsteen and "many other artists" regarding possible roles at this week's Democratic National Convention, but Springsteen--who expressed his support for Obama's presidential bid earlier this year--never was scheduled to appear.

Nonetheless, the Rocky Mountain News also reports that an acoustic Bon Jovi [ tickets ] set prior to Obama's speech "is still in the works."

In two separate television interviews in the spring of 2004, Biden suggested the best way to bring unity to a divided nation was for the then-Democratic presidential candidate, John Kerry, to select McCain as his running mate.

The committee hosting the Democratic National Convention has used the city's gas pumps to fill up and apparently avoided paying state and federal fuel taxes.

The practice, which began four months ago, may have ended hours after its disclosure. An aide to Mayor John Hickenlooper released a statement Tuesday evening saying that Denver 2008 Host Committee members would pay market prices for fuel and would also be liable for all applicable taxes.

However, Public Works spokeswoman Christine Downs told City Council members just hours before that host committee members were fueling up at the city pumps. The city does not pay taxes on the fuel for its fleet, and Downs said the host committee would not either.

I digress, though. I do want to talk about this perceived new "right" that the Democrat Party seems to go on and on about....

In the Constitution that I have a copy of, there is only one guaranteed right that forces a person to give up some of their life, liberty, or property to ensure that someone else can exercise their right.....the right to a jury trial. Those jurors must give up their time, part of their lives, to decide on an accused persons guilt or innocence. Other than that, all other constitutionally guaranteed rights are individual rights...freedom of expression, religion, speech, bear arms, etc.

If there becomes a "right" to healthcare, then we are forcing doctors, nurses, and other medical staffers to give up a portion of their lives in order to allow others (the people who require medical attention) to exercise their right to see a doctor. Right now, all the above people willingly give up a portion of their lives for compensation in the form of money. And if we are to do that, then when will it end? Are we going to force doctors, nurses, etc., to be on call whenever we need them? Force them to come to your house? Make them give you drugs you don't need?

Thank the Founders that at least for now, healthcare isn't a "right" of all American citizens. Nor should it be.

Rep. Tubbs Jones Dies After Suffering Aneurysm

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress, has died, FOX News confirms. Tubbs Jones, 58, was earlier sent to the hospital Tuesday evening after suffering an aneurysm while driving her car.
Tubbs Jones' car veered off the side of the road Tuesday night. Police found her unconscious behind the wheel.

According to a police report, an officer was driving behind Tubbs Jones' car at about 9 p.m.ET and observed her weaving. After a couple of turns, the officer turned on his lights to stop the congresswoman. When she pulled to the side, her car then started to roll across the lanes of oncoming traffic. The officer then pulled his cruiser in front of her car to block it from oncoming traffic, the report said. When the officer walked up to her sedan, he noticed she was in "medical distress" and called for an ambulance.

Tubbs Jones was one of Hillary Clinton's biggest supporters during the Democratic primary.

The 58-year-old Tubbs Jones became the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress when she was elected in 1998. She is serving her fifth term in Congress.
Tubbs Jones is the chairwoman of the House Ethics Committee. That panel is currently probing the DUI arrest and potential abuse of taxpayer funds by Republican Rep. Vito Fossella.
Tubbs Jones is set to be a superdelegate at next week's Democratic National Convention in Denver . The congresswoman threw her support to Barack Obama in June after Clinton dropped out of the race.

At the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston , she delivered the main address on the first night of the event.

I think that a great deal of Demoncrats are feeling just that these days..... BUYER's REMORSE! Oh you won't find that in the mainstream media, but listening to talk radio and reading blogs, it seems evident.

And no, come convention time it will not be enough to cost Obama the nomination, but there may be just enough Hillary votes to cast a shadow on that convention and soil the coronation concert.

Which leads me to my next point......not that it matters, but I am beginning to think John McCain is going to pick Joe Lieberman for his VP. Think about it:

-McCain doesn't care about the Conservative right..... he has never catered to them and I am sure he feels he can do this without them, or they have NOWHERE else to go, so they are stuck.

-He has been seen alot with Lieberman, why just 2 days ago when McCain was in Atlanta, Lieberman was with him. John is obviously doing this to test the waters and see what kind of reaction, if any, it generates. The fact that no one has raised hell about it, other than Rush Limbaugh, looks more & more like a green light to McCain.

-McCain was just an eyelash away from being Kerry's VP pick in 2004, and if asked, I am sure McCain would have leapt at the chance. You know that idea and the thought of "HISTORY" is incredibly attractive to the McCain people. Obama will be chanting, "WE ARE MAKING HISTORY" all the way til election day..... this way, McCain can say it as well. The fact that Lieberman was the #2 guy on the losing ticket in 2000 isn't a factor.... oh wait, he did get more popular votes, so......

-Face it..... other than maybe Zell Miller, Joe Lieberman is probably the LEAST WORST Democrat out there! The mindset of the Republican establishment & of THE PARTY.... the win at ANY COST mindset, enhances this greatly! Hell, if McCain picked Hillary or Bill, the GOP Leadership would be ALL over that & praising the choice!

-And finally..... I think the McCain people think Lieberman will sew up the Jewish vote for them. Forget Lieberman for a second..... .I truly do not think that the American Jewish Community is that crazy about Hussein Obama..... I think he is seen as "The Muslim Candidate", and if they had their druthers, he'd step aside and make way for Hillary. The American Jewish Community is at the forefront of this "Buyer's Remorse" sentiment, though I do not believe they supported Hussein Obama in the first place, but I truly think they have a problem with him....and understandibly so. So where will they go come election day?

Add Lieberman to the McCain ticket, and I think that is where they hope the American Jewish voter turns to!

But I do not think it will work. I don't see adding Lieberman to the ticket bringing in one extra vote. When it comes right down to it, the American Jewish voter will still vote for Hussein Obama, sure, some may sit it out, but not enough to make up for the Republicans who stay home that day!

And it really doesn't matter anyway.... whoever McCain picks, he will be ridiculed for it. Hopefully it is the correct & beneficial ones ridiculing him for it (the liberal socialist press).

As the 12 hour later replay of the Olympic Torch was being lit on American TV’s here in the Eastern Time Zone of the USA, this dastardly deed was taking place. Most all of us went to bed Friday night with visions and thoughts of that absolutely stunning spectacle called the opening ceremonies running thru our minds…… only to wake up to this horrible news Saturday AM.

So what did we hear? That this attack took place….. 2 Americans attacked, 1 died, and the attacker took his life by plunging off the top of this tourist attraction. Why did he do it? Well, some of the news outlets reported the official Chinese line….. he was a factory worker, and that it wasn’t prompted by the Olympics. There was nothing to show that the 2 people attacked were targeted because they were Americans or affiliated with the Olympics.

Really?

Needless to say, this was swallowed hook line & sinker by the American media. Let us not question the Chinese Govt…… for fear we may have our precious Olympic Press credentials revoked. Goodness Gracious! Could anything be worse than that? So, I guess I was the only one in North America that thought this lack of information regarding this grisly murder was odd? I guess this poor factory worker had just snapped….. Perhaps he ate too much sugar and wasn’t his self? Does this kind of thing happen a lot on China? Can more Americans expect this type of treatment if they go over there?

Then Sunday morning, as I lay half awake watching some boxing…. Things started to come together. There was a boxer from China competing and guess what his middle name was? “Mohammed”. It seems he is from a Northern Province in China with a high concentration of Muslims. Hmmmm….who knew? Is there a chance that this cold blooded murderer was from that region as well? Or one of the other many pockets of Islam located in China? Is it just possible that this was the work of a fanatical Muslim, just as the Va. Tech shootings were?

There I go again…. Just wanting to blame EVERYTHING wrong on the Religion of Peace. Well ya see, there is a pattern here of terror and cold blooded killings like this being committed by followers of The Religion of Peace (not my term, Oprah’s… and other liberals). Is there nothing to this story? Fine… then prove there is. But someone has to ask the question first, and the American liberal media doesn’t seem prepared to do such, for fear of losing their precious Olympic press credentials.

Sure, it would be fun to be over there right now soaking up the Olympics, but if I were a journalist, I’d look upon it as a badge of honor to have my press credentials revoked by the Tyrannical & totalitarian butchers of Beijing.
