Instead of talking about the fallen soldiers that died to free Europe two times in the same century, Obama wants to talk about the fallen walls that his party did nothing to bring down. Obama did not even mention the hard work that Reagan did in bringing those walls down, and he is trying to win Reagan's old office. Pathetic.

Speaking of pathetic, the applause line: "People of Berlin - people of the world - this is our moment. This is our time," is pathetic and vapid. The good thing is that Obama is running for president of the world and not for President of the United States even though his name will be on our ballot.

Finally, in his lame speech, Obama claims, "We are a people of improbable hope." No sir, Mr. Obama, I am not a people of improbable hope. I am a person of self-determination and hard work that is blessed to live in a nation where my forefathers fought and died for my liberty. Other nations must make their own choices and live by them, and keep their nasty untrue opinions generated by our Liberal Left to themselves. We should be a nation of pride, Mr. Obama, not a groveling nation that requires effeminate European affirmation to determine our future.

Needless to say, I have a huge number of problems with Obama's speech. I have a huge number of problems with Obama, his political party, and he and his party's patriotism.

Americans are getting behind drilling for more oil, and it's increasingly being mentioned as the most important thing in the election. So as the Democrats beat their "No Drilling" drum, the Republicans are making headway. No wonder Nancy Pelosi doesn't want to hold a vote.

In my home county of Cherokee, there was a tornado that hit back in May that caused quite a bit of damages. FEMA will not process grants from the Federal Government to help homeowners pay for removal of downed trees and those type of things that homeowner's insurance will not pay for. FEMA's reasoning is that it didn't meet a $10m threshold throughout the state. I say good for FEMA. It's not my (or anyone else's) job to pay for removing downed trees in your yard. You own 'em, you deal with 'em.

I'm all for electing Barack Obama President. Of Europe. As long as it'll get him the hell out of the US.

Since I am voting Libertarian for President this year, I wanted to find out what possible impact he will have on the general election?

My view? Probably not a lot, especially if it's close.

If the vote will be close, most "conservatives" will just hold their nose and vote for RightObama (McCain). I will not. As expressed previously, I will hold my nose no longer.

This could change however, if 2 factors come into play:

1) Neal Boortz drums the heck out of Barr on his radio show, thereby giving him enough support in the polls to....

2) Appear in the national debates with LeftObama and RightObama.

If those two things happen, things could get very ugly for McCain. While I don't think Barr will win a state, he'll definitely skew Georgia away from the Republicans, and possibly some western states as well.

It could be a bloodbath for the Republicants. Which, all in all, may not be a bad thing.

Reagan was a man of honor who didn't want the job to be honest. When I visited his library in California a couple of years back, I was struck by the way he talked about not wanting to be a politician, but how he seemed to feel that someone had to stand up for those of us who wanted less government in our lives. I truly feel that Reagan's legacy no longer lives in the GOP. It lives in the Libertarian party. Even Time Magazine, for all its liberalness, found its way to publish a relatively good piece on the Libertarians here. World War 3 will probably commence and the US is looking at having to suffer thru this 444 day hostage thing all over again.....no question... it couldn't be any other way.

Gee... they were wrong. Gee... and alot of those executive orders did violate US law...and gee, no one outside of media circles seemed to care that the US pulled one over on the Ol' Ayatollah, in fact if that was the case (as it had been reported), most Americans were proud of Reagan for doing just that to the Iranian Revolutionary Gov't. Jimmy Carter... what an absolute failure as President and what a joke of a figure of leadership. Where did Carter get off with the Violations in Executive Orders to try to dig hisself out of a foreign policy hole he never got out of, and quite frankly, continues to wallow in? Just another perfect example of a trait liberals in power posess..... they think... no, they KNOW they are above the law, any law......the laws in the books, well, those don't apply to them or celebrities.....that is for everyone else.
